Nationals Game is a ‘Big Hit!’

Nationals Hat

Last night we went out on a little team-building activity after work. The corporate practice had an outing to the Washington Nationals game! This is a newer team – only about 4 years old – and they have a brand new stadium that was just built in Jan. 2008!

This is the second Nationals game I have been to so far, and it was so much fun. The first one was about 3 weeks ago, when I got ahold of the company season tickets. Meg and I went and had a blast, and our seats for that game were in the 12th row, right behind the 3rd base!

Don’t worry now…I still like the Red Sox. But when it comes to free tickets, this is my kind of team! One of the pictures below is of the entire corporate practice. There is also one of my friends and I from work. Their names are Renan, Alan, and Uday.

New Apartment: Park Adams

In 2 days, on May 1, I will be moving into my new apartment complex! I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time, and I thought I’d share a few pictures of the place with you.

The complex is called Park Adams Apartments, and it is located a few blocks away from the Courthouse Metro station. Check out this picture to get an idea of where it is in relation to DC. The little Red “A” is where I will be living.

I am moving into a 2-bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment on the first floor, and it has a nice little 10×10′ patio as well.

My roommate Mike is also 23 years old, and he seems like a cool guy. There aren’t any pictures of the unit itself, but when I move in on May 1 I’ll take some and put them up here!

My Office, Outside View

1100 Wilson TVThe building that I work in is a work of art. Well…maybe that is stretching it a bit. Either way, it looks pretty good in pictures!

Reasons I enjoy the building:

Close to the Rosslyn Metro station

CVS/other shops on the ground floor–great for picking up a toothbrush on the way home

Gym on the 1st floor too- very convenient!

There is a huge TV-screen on the outside of the building. It broadcasts live coverage from the ABC TV news station inside.

My New Blog – for Family and Friends!

Hi Everyone,

Sometimes it is hard to stay in touch with family and friends from a long distance away.  I know that a lot of you have asked to see some pictures of my new living and working situation, so I set up this blog for you!  This will make it easy for you all to see what life is like for me in the DC Metro area, and I hope that it helps us all stay in touch!

I plan on updating the blog about twice a week, so check back often to see new pictures from my latest adventures.  Oh and one more thing…you can write “comments” for everyone to see below each post.  Enjoy!
